The Untold Mystery of Indus Valley Civilization

The Indus Valley Civilization was spread across a vast region that stretched from the present day Pakistan, India and Afghanistan. It was one of the worlds earliest urban civilizations and was marked by complex city planning, advanced drainage systems and the emergence of the first writing system. However, the mystery of the Indus Valley Civilization lies in the fact that its culture and language remain unknown. Researchers have yet to decipher the script of the civilizations writing system. This has left a major gap in our understanding of the culture and language of this ancient civilization. Archaeological excavations have revealed interesting aspects of the Indus Valley Civilizations lifestyle. An examination of the artifacts and other findings from the sites has provided us with some information about the people who lived there. For example, archaeologists have found evidence of a sophisticated urban planning system that included elaborate drainage systems, granaries, and public baths.
