How Does Touch Screen Work?

Capacitive touch screens, on the other hand, use a capacitive layer that stores electrical charge. When a finger touches the screen, the charge is disrupted and the location of the touch is registered. Most modern touch screens use a combination of both technologies. This combination provides the most accurate and responsive touch screen experience. The combination of capacitive and resistive technologies also allows for the use of a stylus, which is great for applications such as drawing and note taking.
